As the Supply Chain & Operation manager, you’ll own and scale the production of hardware at Aavia.

You will be perfect for this role if:
- You have experience managing manufacturers and supply chain, especially in China
- You are able to work under pressure and to wear multiple hats
- You can understand and speak English and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) so it is easier to communicate with overseas suppliers and manufacturers
- You have experience bringing a hardware product from conception to full scale production
Bonus:
- Degree in one of industrial, mechanical or electrical engineering
- Experience working in a startup
- Willing to transition into full-time if mutual fit, with path to Head of Hardware Operations
As the Supply Chain & Operations Manager, you will be someone who we can count on to:
own :
- Maintenance and scaling of smart pill case production and production for future hardware, including packaging
- Sourcing and vetting of suppliers, which requires articulating requirements, ensuring suppliers have manufacturing capabilities, and confirming capacity
- Negotiation of pricing for samples, small batch and scaled volumes, helping Aavia control cost on the BOM
- Process around final assembly (including packaging)
- Work with sales team to understand demand and work with suppliers on inventory management
- End to end logistics, including relationships with 3PL, intermediary warehouses, and international shipping
- Research on certification processes such as FCC, battery certifications, CE, RoHS, and possibly FDA, and completion of necessary certifications
- Logistics for international expansion
