That Roe v. Wade Leak Got Us Feeling 😡😤

By now, you have probably already seen the Politico report that the Supreme Court voted to strike down the landmark Roe v. Wade decision that establishes a constitutional right to abortion. In addition a 98 page draft opinion signed by Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito was revealed, adding more horror at the realistic potential of an overrule.

What are the potential consequences of Roe. v. Wade being appealed?

  • Abortion will likely be banned or limited quickly in at least 22 states. Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming all currently have laws that bad abortions. Florida, Indiana, Montana, and Nebraska are also expected to institute laws banning the procedure if the federal protections from Roe v. Wade are removed.
  • An increase in unregulated and self-abortions. Only 28% of self-abortions are successful.
  • Increase mortality rates in the country. Potential increase of 21% in pregnancy related deaths.
  • How can you help?
