As a Designer at Aavia, you will work closely with our social and content lead to develop Aavia into an aspirational, trustworthy and reliable brand. You should know Gen Z from the inside out as we are building the platform to support them on their hormone health journey.

Reporting into the fractional CMO, you’ll be responsible for establishing the visual identity and bringing the brand to life. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our product team to develop a seamless brand from end to end.

As you’re reading this, we are making decisions about the future of Aavia. People with ovaries were never told the importance of the role hormones play in their personal health. Healthcare providers, sex ed and archaic institutions have failed them.

Hormones have been misunderstood, overlooked and deprioritized for too long. We’re on a mission to guide people towards the information they need to put them in control of their health, and support connections between how people are feeling to their hormonal health.

You will be perfect for this role if you:

  • Are looking for a mission driven company that is passionate about positively impacting people’s lives
  • Know what Gen Z likes, looks at and wants to be - what brands they’re connected with and care about, and design choices that will resonate 
  • Have strong design skills that can flex between design direction and art direction to think more conceptually about creative 
  • Have experience and work samples spanning mediums and channels from brand identity and packaging to social assets and product design 
  • Are a self starter with excellent creative and critical thinking skills; and care about polish in your delivery
  • Understand how to cater design and assets to our community in different stages of the user journey
  • Have a strong attention to detail and are comfortable context- switching between business priorities, deliverables and timing priorities throughout the day 
  • Are ability to work quickly and autonomously in fast paced environments with minimal oversight or support 
  • Have experience working on cross-functional marketing teams including social, content and paid 
  • Have experience designing creative for paid 
  • Proficient understanding of design needs required across marketing initiatives including email, web, social, brand, advertising, sponsorships, events, PR, etc.
  • Obsessed with delivering a magical experience for customers
  • Comfortable with learning new tools and platforms
  • Are not afraid to get your hands dirty! We’re an early stage startup :)

  • Experience in owning a visual brand for an early stage startup
  • Experience with web design, email marketing and paid media

As our Designer, you will be someone we can count on to:

own :

  • Design a unique and ownable brand identity that unifies the brand across channels and offline/in-app (work closely with product design)
  • Translate a the brand strategy into consumer-facing designs e.g. brand identity, digital marketing assets, social content, sales collateral, packaging and website
  • Partner with a Copywriter to create compelling branded content for campaigns, presentations, web, email marketing, blogs,  social, and digital content that reflects the brand positioning
  • Present and pitch ideas and concepts to cross-functional teams
  • Ensure brand identity feels consistent across channels 
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners in marketing, brand management, project management, product, design 
  • Analyze data reporting and learnings to optimize copy and improve SEO performance 
  • Own design throughout the brand’s ecosystem including Amazon, social, web, email, etc.
  • Shift contexts throughout the day working across multiple brands to deliver a range of marketing collateral needs at a highly creative level
  • Partner with marketing team to adjust designs based on performance
