“Being in the mood” is a common saying for a good reason. As physical as the act of sex may be, it requires your mind to be in the right place for you to want it in the first place. While there are a lot of reasons you might be experiencing a low sex drive, your mindset is a great place to start.
Do any of these apply to you?
- Mental health problems, such as anxiety or depression
- Stress, such as financial stress or work stress
- Low self-esteem
- History of physical or sexual abuse
- Previous negative sexual experiences
If so, it’s possible your low sex drive is related to something deeper. Consider talking to your partner, a friend, or a therapist to start working through what is holding you back.
